HitchMount Products’ Policies
The following paragraphs outline our policies for all products. You must understand and agree to the following policies before buying and/or using manufactured any goods from HitchMount Products. This policy is subject to change, so you must save a copy for yourself at the time of purchase. For additional information, email us at wheels@hitchmount.com. 
 



Satisfaction Guarantee
We guarantee that you will be pleased with our products. If you are not satisfied for any reason whatsoever, return the product within 30 days of delivery in the original packaging and we will be delighted to give you a full refund. 
 


 

Warranty Policy
No warranty is offered or implied for motorcycle carriers and trailers. HitchMount Products offers a warranty to the original purchaser on minibike training wheels only. If any item on the training wheel set fails during the first year after receipt, HitchMount products will replace the training wheel set with a new one free of charge. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage. The axle and welded on bracket are guaranteed for life. If the axle ever breaks or bends, HitchMount Products will replace it free of charge. Liability Policy
We are committed to providing a superior quality product. We have strict quality controls throughout our processes, from design to manufacture. Our product designs have been tested before releasing them for sale, and they are inspected for defects throughout the manufacturing process. However, due to the nature of the use of our recreational products, we do not take responsibility for any damage, failure, or any other consequence directly or indirectly resulting from the use of our products, and therefore no warranty or liability is offered or implied by HitchMount Products unless otherwise stated in writing.  The HitchMount Products user must agree to this liability policy and accepts all responsibility for use of the products before using them. The following defines the liability policy specifically by product:


Scooter Commuter Dirtbike Carrier
Used properly, the Scooter Commuter motorcycle carrier is a safe and easy way to transport a dirt bike. However, due to circumstances beyond the control of HitchMount Products, the Scooter Commuter is strictly for use at the buyer's own risk. HitchMount Products assumes no liability whatsoever, neither direct nor consequential, regarding the use of the Scooter Commuter motorcycle carrier. HitchMount Products has no ability to control the following, and therefore the user must take all precautions to ensure safe use of the carrier: 

 

Final assembly:
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure the unit is assembled properly. Hitch receiver installation and vehicle: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the hitch receiver is installed correctly to the vehicle and is free of damage, and that the weight of the carrier and items loaded onto it do not exceed the hitch receiver’s nor the vehicle’s actual load capacity.
 

Use:

It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the HitchMount carrier is connected properly and securely to the vehicle’s hitch receiver, and that it is free of damage, and that the items loaded on the carrier do not exceed 300 pounds (or the vehicle’s and/or hitch receiver’s load capacity, whichever is less), and that the items loaded onto it are properly restrained, that the carrier is not used in rough road conditions that could cause the motorcycle or carrier to detach, and that the carrier and bike do not obstruct the tail lights of the vehicle in such a way that they cannot be seen by other drivers.
We no longer offer motorcycle carriers for sale.


ATV Trailers 
HitchMount Products assumes no liability whatsoever regarding the use of our trailers, including direct or consequential damage. It is the user’s responsibility to know the vehicle's and hitch receiver's capacity rating and never exceed it. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the hitch receiver is installed correctly and is free of damage, and that the trailer is connected properly and securely and is free of damage, and that the items loaded onto the trailer are adequately restrained and do not overload it. The trailer should not be used in overly rough or off-highway conditions. All trailers sold by HitchMount Products are strictly for use at the buyer's own risk, and HitchMount Products assumes no liability whatsoever. It is unlawful to modify or use trailers outside of the rated class, which is class III. Check your state's laws for additional information. We no longer offer trailers for sale.

Minibike Training Wheels 
Because motorcycle riding is already established as a potentially dangerous activity, the user agrees to assume all risks of using this product. HitchMount Products assumes no liability whatsoever regarding the use of our training wheels, including direct or consequential damage. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the wheels are mounted securely. Always use a helmet and protective gear when riding. Ride with adult supervision only and away from high bike traffic. Do not exceed the weight limit of the minibike or ride with more than one rider (consult the minibike’s owner’s manual). Avoid excessively rough terrain, extreme speed, extremely steep slopes, and do not directly run into objects with the training wheels. For off-road use only. The rider should never take his/her feet off of the foot pegs to prevent them from accidentally getting caught in front of the training wheel axle.
 


 

Payment Policy
HitchMount Products uses PayPal to complete all online sales transactions. Refer to their website for information about their policies. All items sold in the state of Colorado are subject to 2.9% sales tax. We also accept personal checks, cash (in person only), money orders, and cashier's checks. Sorry, but we do not accept credit cards over the telephone. Dealer accounts are welcome and available with approved credit. Please contact us for additional information.
 


 

Shipping Policy
Standard shipping is by UPS ground only in the continental United States. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise specified. Shipping costs will be automatically added to the sale during payment transaction. All items purchased from HitchMount Products will be shipped within 1 to 3 business days from the date of the sale transaction (confirmation by PayPal) unless otherwise specified. If the shipment cannot be made within 1-3 business days, HitchMount Products will contact the purchaser within 3 business days of the sales transaction. Most shipments can be expected to reach the final destination in 3 to 7 business days. Special shipping arrangements, such as overnight delivery or international shipping are available. Return Policy

A return authorization is required for all warranty returns - please contact our warranty and service department at warranty@hitchmount.com before returning product . HitchMount Products will not cover charges for return shipments. We suggest that you ship the package to us using UPS ground, insured so that you are protected against loss. If your product is a warranty replacement return, HitchMount will returning the repaired or replaced product to you free of charge, insurance included.

 

Satisfaction Guarantee Returns: 
Proof of purchase is required for satisfaction guarantee returns.  For satisfaction guarantee returns, HitchMount Products will reimburse the you, the original purchaser, for the original purchase price of the product (excluding original shipment), or, at your option, replace the product with a new one. All refunds will be issued by check or PayPal. Refund checks will be mailed in 7-10 business days after the return is delivered to HitchMount Products.


One Year Warranty Returns (Training Wheels Only): 
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty returns. For one year warranty returns, you must contact us at warranty@hitchmount.com and obtain a return authorization within the allotted time of one year after purchase. We will ship a new set of training wheels after we have received your return. You must cover shipping costs for the item to us, and we will cover the costs for shipping the new set back to you.


Lifetime Warranty Returns (Training Wheels Only): 
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty returns. For lifetime warranty returns of a bent or otherwise broken axle, you must contact us at warranty@hitchmount.com and obtain an return authorization. After we have received your return. we assemble a new axle to the training wheels and then ship them back to you. You must cover shipping costs for the return, and we will cover the costs for shipping the repaired set back to you.
